shoes

About a year ago, Matthew, James and I were mulling over a dire situation whereby one wrong move could make or break our careers as future SuperStars. It was a dilemma which required critical analysis, on-the-spot thinking and astute observations. We were contemplating... over which football boots to buy and how it would serve to complement or hinder our style of play.

You see, we were scammed by a big big sham. We thought different football boots are for different styles of play, what with the varying weights and material blablabla but the truth is, its not really that specific. As in, some boots aid your acceleration and touch blababla but it all comes down to the player's skill, doesn't it?

So anyway, we pinpointed Matthew to be in the mould of Carrick (I seriously think he looks like Carrick when he plays), or maybe Alonso; James was our Titus Bramble... I mean, Ferdinand/Nesta; and I would be the Hleb/Nasri and therefore, as such, we narrowed our choices down to these few:

Matthew: Tiempo I, Tiempo II (big difference...)
James: Predator, T90 Laser, OP Slippers
Alvan: Mercurial Vapor III, T90 Laser

Eventually, after long bouts of discussion, Matthew got his Tiempo I which was black though he claims its blue, James got his Predator (I think...) and I got my Mercurial Vapor III (2nd Grade which was Talaria) which was red and white. Gleaming boot suited for a shining star (like me). Thank you thank you.

When I got my boots at Queensway, I got really excited about it as it was soooooooo shiny and sexy! But after the first time I wore it, the colour sort of wore off but it still looked sexy. Then, after a few more games, I grew in tune with the Vapors and managed a haul of about ten goals or so with them and many more assists!!!! Now, by my standards, ten goals are sexy. After about seven months of play or so, the bottom plating of the Vapors started to come off and I knew that spelt the beginning of the end. Awwww......

In the meantime, Matthew managed to preserve his Tiempo well enough whilst James lost his Predators on the train LOLOLOLOLOL. As we speak, he's now using his Umbro though he recently bought a new set of Predators.

Anyway, the bad news is this. Two days ago, both bottom platings of my Vapors came off at once and as such, I have new reason to buy new boots. One different thing about this time round is that my style of play has really changed but I don't think it really makes that big a difference in choosing football boots. Oh, and so has my opinion of Nike boots.

So, here are my choices:

#1: AdiPURE

#2: F50 Tunit

#3: Tiempo Air Legend II

So far, I'm inclining towards adiPURe... decisions decisions...
