third post, time to get bored of this
It's kind of early now but I can't get to sleep so I thought I could do better with writing about something that had been on my mind for about a month and a half now, so let's not beat about the bush.
The Dark Knight.
Yesterday, I had the honorable privilege of catching this awesome movie at the VivoCity GV Max Theatre 1 which has the biggest screen in the whole of Asia, according to Joel. I thought it was a fantastic movie and I wouldn't be surprised if The Dark Knight wins movie of the year or something (do take note that I'm not a fan of movie awards, just the movie itself).
All the characters were just so real (especially the Joker) that I was completely sucked into the movie as soon as it began with a b*nk r*bbery (no spoilers intended). However, I did have a few regrets.
1. the corner of my ticket stub was ripped! *cues gasps of horror* *funeral music plays*
You see, the thing is, ticket stubs serve as a spark to re-ignite whatever lost memories you had of the movie after many many years when you forget you even watched it. As such, you want the spark to be whole, but NO! The woman ripped the other half of my ticket with such menacing violence that the corner of the stub came off with it. Then she looked at me with a fierce glint in her eye but when she saw my sad look, she hung her head in guilt. Shame on her...
2. I shouldn't have watched so many videos and trailers about The Dark Knight
After each scene of the movie, I found myself flashing back to the trailers and videos I watched and wondering what happens next. This got kind of irritating after a while but I couldn't suppress the flashbacks so all I can say is, "Ah well..."
3. the movie was so short!!!
The movie was 152 minutes long! That's like... 2 hours and 32 minutes!!! Okay it IS 2 hours and 32 minutes long. Only! Plus trailers and commercials and stuff, that took about 2 hours and 45 minutes, and there wasn't even the advertisement to remind us to keep our phones on silent mode! I was looking forward to staying in the theatres for at least 3 hours so that i can "savor every moment" of the movie experience, so again, all I can say is, "I'm going to watch it again!"
Who wants to watch The Dark Knight (again/for the first time)?
